He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Amber; and his brother Salvatore III. He is survived by: his wife Annette M. (Pellicci); his children, Rosanne Gierszewski (Don Phillips), Annette Lee (Charles) and David II Garrasi (Kristen); his grandchildren, Noelle, Matthew, Skyler, Michaela, Mackenzie, Rachel and Lia; and his brother Frederick Garrasi. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
