He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thomas and Ruth Thomas (Bess); his son Peter Rockwood; and his brother Dean Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Rose Conklin Thomas of Angelica; his son William Thomas III (Stephanie); his stepchildren, Valerie Miller (Thomas), Tania McRoberts (Tony Westmoreland), Stephanie Dowd (Mark) of Belfast and Danae Kozlowski (Kirk); and his siblings, Dorothea Smith and Dennis Thomas (Teri) of Olean. He is also survived by several great grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews.
