He was predeceased by: his parent David Austin; his wife Helen Austin (DeRock); and his siblings, Olin, Ernie, Glenn, Stella, Florence, Irene and Lela.

He is survived by: his parent Alice Austin (Griesemer); and his children, Carol Sanders (Ron) of Medina, NY, David Austin (Berneice) of Angelica, NY, Kevin Austin (Betsy) of Odessa, NY and Gayle Clynne of Oriskany, NY.. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and special nieces and nephews.
