He is survived by: his son Daniel; his daughter-in-law Lauren; his daughter Jessica; his grandchildren, David, Julia, Benjamin, Ziggy and Nergu; his siblings, Cyril Smith and Esther Gans; his brother-in-law Maurice Gans of Sydney; his sister Sally Smith of Melbourne, Australia; and his nieces and nephews, Jamie, Alex, Avie, Debbie, Naomi, Jonathan, Allon and Dana.
