James Schermerhorn Sr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Schermerhorn Sr. of Ancram, New York, born in Hudson, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 31, 2024 at the age of 80. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Schermerhorn and Marcia Schermerhorn (Rivenburgh); and his siblings, Ralph "Sonny" Schermerhorn and Florence Shook. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Schermerhorn (Steincke); his son James "Buddy" Schermerhorn Jr. (Kelly); his brother Corey Schermerhorn; his grandsons, Cory (Molly) and Kyle Schermerhorn (Mickaela); his great grandchildren, Blayke and Maeve; and his close friend Rocky.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to be made to the American Cancer Society or Columbia-Greene Humane Society.
