He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edwin Porter and Helen Porter; his wife Kathy Reynolds Porter of Mexico; his children, Michael Porter Jr. (Jennifer) of Amsterdam and Sarah Porter (Joseph) of Pulaski; his grandchildren, Isabella Porter, Benjamin Porter and Devon Porter; and his siblings, Dennis Dunbar, Timothy, James, Tracy, Kim Sue Harrington, Kimberly Ann Harrington and Barbara Jean Shaw.
Mike was a combat wounded vet and donated a lot of time and money towards various veteran's organizations.
