He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna McCoski (Zawisza) and Joseph McCoski; his wife Marguerite McCoski (Smida); and his brother Bernard McCoski. He is survived by: his son William McCoski (Kimberly Ilnicki); his grandchildren, Sarah McCoski (William Stetson) and Ethan McCoski (Maggie Seiple); and his siblings, Florence Aldi (McCoski) and Fred McCoski. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that a donation be made in Joe's honor to the Montgomery County SPCA, 1007 St. Hwy 5, Amsterdam, NY, 12010.
