He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy MacVean and Perlia Dopp MacVean; his wife Eileen; and his siblings, Clement, Percy Jr., H. Ross, Charles, Robert, Clarence, Arthur MacVean, Hazel Brownell, Thelma Lester, Marion Hughes and Grace Everest.
He is survived by: his daughter Barb Somers (Ken); and his sister Ruth Beyer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
