We bid farewell to Jean L. Lee of Amityville, New York, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 30, 2024 at the age of 89. Jean touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the sacred silence of farewell, Jean is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She is survived by: her daughter Lorraine; her son-in-law Thomas Lewis; her son Christopher; and her daughter-in-law Donna Lee. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

“Jean was a strong Union President of the Copiague Teachers Association. Her skill as a teacher in the district was a guiding light for many newly appointed colleagues, myself included. Jean's open classroom was the envy of many fledgling staff members and her guidance was always given freely and with a great deal of humor.
