“We knew him as captain Jimmy. "We" are the many captains & mates from many companies that landed & sailed barges in Port Jefferson over a period of many years. "We" are also the pilots, masters, mates & deckhands at McAllister Towing in NY Harbor that worked with Jimmy over the recent years. To all of us, Jimmy was that guy who always made us laugh, always did a great job & always had us looking forward to the next job with him. He will be fondly remembered and saddly missed.”
