He was predeceased by: his parents, Heinrich Pfrunder and Frieda Pfrunder; his siblings, Wilfred, Oscar, Harry Pfrunder and Klara Hellowell; and his wife Barbara Halsted.

He is survived by: his father-in-law Star Boat; his son Randy Pfrunder; his daughter-in-law Chris of Farmville, VA; his daughter Betsy Kellndorfer; his son-in-law James Kellndorfer; and his grandchildren, Jamie (Matt Kelley), Laurie (Josh Locke), Lisa and Julie.
