It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest N. Virgil (Amityville, New York), who passed away on January 14, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Virgil and Marie L. Virgil; his sisters, June Hicks, Gloria Elliott and Rosemarie Hunter; and his niece Tracy Young Brewer.
He is survived by: his aunts, Mini, Eleanor and Margaret; his siblings, Ruthann Young of Queens, NY, Lisa Green-Hatchett of Jackson, MS, Susan Robinson of Atlanta, GA., John L. Virgil Jr., George Virgil of Fontana, CA, Peter Virgil-Green, Mario Virgil of Atlanta, GA, Paul A. Green of Chattanooga, TN and Anthony Green of Atlanta, GA.; his nieces, Lenora Hunter, Tanya Hicks, Denine Virgil, Angie Vidal, Danielle Virgil, April Virgil-Green, Leticia Virgil-Green, Jazmine Virgil-Green, Joy Virgil-Green, Olivia Green, Jessica Green, Ashley Romain and Jasmine Romain; his great-nieces, Rachel Robinson and Hilda Robinson; and his nephews, Tyrone Hunter, Rodney Hunter Jr., Dale Hunter, David Hicks, Douglas Young, Michael Elliott, Alonzo Virgil-Daniels, Francisco Virgil-Green, John Virgil-Green, Julian McCullum, Charles Green, Jeremy Green, Brandon Green, Matthew Green, Denzel Romain and Durrell Romain. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews were his children.
