He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Coty and Mary Coty (Wright); his brothers, Robert, John and Gerald; and his son-in-law Jim Fountain.

He is survived by: his siblings, Kenneth, Joan and Ernest; his wife Cathy; his children, Michael (Doreen), Ricky (Nancy), Karen and Randy (Carrie); and his grandchildren, Kurtis, Kristy, Cameron (Sarah), Connor and Emma Coty.
