He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver A. LaFountain, Jr. and Emma M. LaFountain (Gadway); and his siblings, Lena LaValley (Albert), Noah LaFountain (Muriel), Eva Gilman (Raymond), Earl LaFountain (Dora), Lillian (Roy Peryea), Alfred LaFountain (Doris), Irene Puryea (Herman), Cecile Rabideau (Richard) and Roland LaFountain (Beverly).
He is survived by: his wife Lucille Boulrice of Mooers; his children, James LaFountain (Cheryl), Beverly Canning (Gary) and Peter LaFountain (Carol); his grandchildren, Katie Martin (Brandon), Jacquelyn Canning, Kristen Trombley (Bryan), Kyle Canning (Cherish), Tonya LaFountain and Marsha LaFountain; and his great grandchildren, Kaleb, Mykah, Lyla, Quinn Trombley, Giselle, Stella Canning and Liam LaFountain.
Memorial donations may be made to Holy Angel's Church or the Altona Fire Department.
