He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edgar Vrooman and Stella Vrooman; his sister Lynn; his sons, Gene Jr. (Rebecca), Jeffrey (Marites), Brian and Brent (Leah); his grandchildren, Nikia, Barbara, Dennis, Brandon, Jacob, Dalton, Greyson and Lily; and his daughter Sharon. He was also cherished by many great grandchildren.
