He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Adrian Tierson and Hazel Buckles Tierson; his wife JoAnn Hanchett; his sons, Russell Tierson (April Fuller) of Cuba, Ricky Tierson (Debbie) of Hinsdale, Rodney Tierson (Melissa) of Portville and Randy Tierson (Amy) of Derby, KA; his grandchildren, Gwen, Aaron, Rachelle, Melissa, Amber, Stephanie, Brandon and Amanda; and his brothers, Adrian "Dick" Tierson and Robert Tierson. He was also cherished by 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
