It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Paul R. Desnoyers of Allegany, New York, born in Utica, New York, who passed away on August 7, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Archibald R. Desnoyers and Ruth Arber Krebs Desnoyers; his former wife Harriet Penensick; his stepmother Mary Bowser Desnoyers; his mother-in-law Louise Decker Scott Maynard; his nephew Matthew Woloszyn; his brother-in-law Tom Woloszyn; his father-in-law Dr. Louis Penensick; and his sister-in-law Dawn Best.
He is survived by: his wife Esther Scott Barrett; his son Michael R. Desnoyers (Stephanie) of San Francisco, CA; his stepchildren, Patrick Barrett (Jan) of Fort Wayne, IN, Paul Barrett (Tammy) of Peckville, PA, Phillip Barrett (Kelly Chafee) of Hinsdale, Peter Barrett (Angela) of Amherst and Jackline Barrett Whitus (Steve Aloi) of Allegany; his grandchildren, Erin, Jason Barrett of Fort Wayne, IN, Courtney Hilliard (Tim Stromeski) of Olean, Cody Barrett, Dylan Barrett of Peckville, Christopher Barrett of Freedom, Amy Goode (Jacob) of Olean, Ryan and Alyssa Barrett of Amherst; his great grandchildren, Brooke Miller, Brandi Miller, Rabecca Miller, Penelope Goode, Declan Goode, Emily Stanford, Gavin Abrams and Angel Stromecki; his mother-in-law Ruth Penensick of Florida; his siblings, Cheryl Woloszyn of Fayetteville, NC, Mark Desnoyers of Plattsburgh, PA and Peter Desnoyers of Center Barnstead, NY; his siblings-in-law, Carol Curtis (Randy) of Duke Center, PA, Patricia Baldwin (Gary) of Olean, Mary Haddock (Donald) of Grifton, NC, Dawn Peters (Robert) of Cuba and Tommy Scott (Celeste) of Southern Pines, NC; his close friends, Allyson Sponsler of Portville and Connie Razey of Olean; and his friends, Sharon, Dave Orcutt of Portville, Dr. Srinivas Thandla and Dr. Sushama Kotmire of Allegany. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He supported many other organizations (also anonymously), including the Food Pantry, SPCA and any individual who would sell "items", or ask for donations for school or church sales.
