She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon G. Goodell and Dorothy M. Turner Goodell; her former husband Frederick Smith; her husband Alfred "Dennis" Hathaway; and her children, Vickie M. Shelley of Cuba and Gary Lee Smith.
She is survived by: her son LeRoy L. Smith of Beacon; and her siblings, Michael C. Smith (Patti), Betty J. Grayson of Buckeye, AZ and Bonnie L. Hess of Olean. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
