He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Henry and Catherine Frances Lange; and his siblings, John "Jack" Lange and Wilma Heasley. He is survived by: his wife Susan Clinger Lange; his former wife Carol Reed Lange; his close friends, Cathy Long (Jeff), Linda Malecky (Bob), Bob Lange (Michel Rondon), John Lange (Jacqueline) and Scott Lange; his grandchildren, Kelly, Katie, Molly Long, Bryan, Nathan, Maggie Malecky, Nicholas, Brooke, Ethan Lange, Cameron, Peyton and Sawyer Lange; his children, Beth Benson (Jim), Jean Yorio (John) and Cheryl LaPrade (David); and also, Jamie, Kelly Benson, Jordan, David, Sara Yorio, Ben and Matthew LaPrade. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
