She was predeceased by: her father Clifford "Chup" Patrick. She is survived by: her mother Stella Patrick (Brundu) of Hornell; her fiancé John Ricci; her children, Andrew Sweezy (Kristen) of Wellsville, Maria Sweezy (A. J. Butera) of St. Petersburg, FL and Laura Sweezy (Connor Insley) of Tarrytown, NY; her sisters, Lisa Patrick of Hornell, Sherrill Keihl (William) of Geneseo and Mary Grabowski (Fred) of Geneseo; and her grandchildren, Alexandria Sweezy and Salvatore Sweezy. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Karen's family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 333 Westmoreland Drive, Rochester, NY 14620.
