He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray G. Handschuh and Lowella Haas Handschuh; his wife Helen Gibson; his daughter Janet Amyot; and his brothers, William and DeForest Handschuh.
He is survived by: his sons, Leon J. Hanschuh (Della Endico) of Pompano Beach, FL and Alan Handschuh of Plessis, NY; and his son-in-law David Amyot of Chippewa Bay, NY. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
