He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Cecere and Anna Cecere (Palvino); and his sister Adeline Cecere. He is survived by: his wife Helen Cecere (Gilhooly) of Alexander; his children, Richard Cecere (Melanie) of Alexander, Debra Irr (Tom) of Arcade, Jeff Cecere (Jill) of Alexander, Julie Heale of Alexander and Gary Cecere of Bergen; and his brother William Cecere. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Please join Richard's family for his military honors which will be held in the front parking lot of Resurrection Parish, 303 East Main Street in Batavia, on Tuesday, January 5 at 10:15 a. m. Richard's funeral mass will be held privately by his family. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the funeral home will be limited to 25 people throughout the course of calling hours.
