As Walter departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Walter. Though Walter may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his sister Reta Marie Woodard (Dick). He is survived by: his wife Donna Schmidt (Nehrboss); his children, Thomas (Dawn), Mark (Kimberly), Susan Roof (Mike) and James (Andrea); and his brothers, Donald (Paulette), Melvin (Gladys) and Allen (Lori). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the First Baptist Church of Marilla, NY (11651 Bullis Rd, Marilla, NY 14102).
