With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sandra Marie Zagmester in Alden, New York, born in Cheektowaga, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 11, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harro Hoerner and Ursula Hoerner (Zehler); and her sister Marlene Hoerner. She is survived by: her children, Laurie Tavan (Jeremy), Michele Zagmester, Janie Walker (Justin) and Eric Zagmester (Kayla); her grandchildren, Corwin, Lilah, Jackson, Owen and Anna; and her siblings, Linda Eichhorn (Chuck), Steven Hoerner (Patricia "Pat"), Noreen Hoerner and Heidi Luh (Joseph). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Church (2021 Sandridge Rd, Alden, NY 14004). A burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at the Mary of the Assumption on the Hill Cemetery (1 St Mary's St, Cheektowaga, NY 14225).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sandra's name to the St. John the Baptist Church.
