He was predeceased by: his wife Julia Elis; his granddaughter Amanda; and his brother Clayton Elis. He is survived by: his children, Maureen Cahoon (Steve), Kelly Elis Okosi and Kevin Elis (Michelle); his grandchildren, Ashley, Alexa, Andre, Adora, Todd and Adam; and his siblings, Janet Ast (late Donald) and Beverly Schrlau (Monty). He is also survived by nieces and one nephew.
