She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband George Lang; her child Kelly Buckley (Jason); her friends, Jeannine Jeziorski and Judith Satola; her father John; and her siblings, Jean Judd (Roger), Carl Whalen, Kenneth Whalen (Beverly) and Joanne Whalen.

Doreen had long since agreed to donate her brain for further this research to continue to help others, but incredibly, Doreen managed to outlive those original studies.
