He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenwyn Boldt and Frina Boldt; and his father-in-law Calvin. He is survived by: his wife Susan Boldt (Laier); his daughters, Elizabeth Popielarz (Jason), Sarah Charlier (Alain) and Maria Steffen (Patrick); his grandchildren, Andre, Bryson, Fiona, David and Helen; his mother-in-law Ruth Laier; and his brother Steven Boldt.
