He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Shuler and Helen Shuler (Rogers); his daughter Darlene Slocum; and his sisters, Beverly Mufford and Barbara Panek.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Danny W. Shuler (Dora Leader), Debbie Taylor (Bob) and Deanne Shuler; and his grandchildren, Sean Robertson, Jenni Nenni, Sonya Martino (Andrew), Danielle LaMartina (Jeff), Jill Barnes (Aaron), Danny Shuler (Janelle), Joanna Taylor, Jonathan Taylor, Daniel Taylor, James Moses III and Kolton Kuek. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
