He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Sargent and Marie Sargent (Robinson); his wife Barbara; and his sisters, Patricia, Betty, Shirley and Peggy.
He is survived by: his children, William Sargent, Jr. (Darlen), Susan Proietty, Scott Sargent (Alicia), Todd Sargent (Sharon) and Christopher Sargent (Julie); his grandchildren, Lindsay Monacelli, Brandon Sargent, Stephanie Hirsch, Zachery Sargent, Shelby Sargent, Mark Proietty, Michael Sargent, Keira Sargent, Sienna Sargent, Ariel Pontillo and Mackenzie Luft; his great grandchildren, Grayson, Landon, Aleah, Chazz, Oliver, Palmer, Adelaide and Judd; and his brother Carl "Sonny" Sargent. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
