He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Benedict and Ida Benedict (Engert); his wife Betty; his daughters, Debra Rae Ross and Lexi Simington (Bobby); and his sister-in-law Shirley Benedict.
He is survived by: his children, Rick Benedict (Lorraine), Cheryl Holt (Michael), Lori Gardner (Terry) and Bret Ross; his grandchildren, Jeffrey of Alicia, T. J., Natasha, Dana, Travis, Rick, Debra, Ali and Najat; and his brothers, Richard, Robert (Kathy) and Rory (Marie). He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
