He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward H. Sauer and Leanore Sauer (Meyer). He is survived by: his sisters, Patrica Thompson (Sauer) and Linda Sauer; his children, Edward R. Sauer, Lisa M Kowal and Kevin M. Sauer; his stepdaughters, Pamela S. Rider and Kim Secore; his brother Lee Sauer; his nieces, Carol, Susan and Leighann; and his close friends, Chet Ferger (Donna), Paul Jann (Suzann) and Ellen Wuesthoff.
