He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frederick Weits and Afina Weits (Wallinga); his wife Arlene; his brother Herman; his son-in-law Bruce Wright; his children, John, Cheryl Wright of Albion and Nancy Horth (Ronald) of Waterport; his daughter-in-law Suzanne Weits of Churchville; his grandchildren, Vicki London (Bruce), Bruce K. Wright (Angie), Jason Horth (Karen), Katie Smith (Peter), John Weits (Tamie), Steven Weits (Beth) and Christy Burda; his great grandchildren, Evan London (Erin), Logan London-Fowler (Cam), Cole London, Aaron Wright (Kaitlyn), Brandon Wright, Leyton Horth, Farrah Horth, Myles Horth, Keira Faith Smith, John III Weits (Amy), Cindy Weits, Kaylyn Weits, Braden Weits, Justine Burda and Adam Burda; and his great great grandchildren, Elliott London, Eli London and Everett London. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
