She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack McCarthy and Lura Ruland McCarthy; and her husband Gordon Simpson. She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Simpson of Albany and Sharon Fronte-Ellithorpe (Dana Ellithorpe) of Albany; her grandson Tyler Fronte (Katie Fronte); her sister-in-law Debbie Downey (Matt Downey); her niece Laura Danz (Tanner Danz); and her nephew Peter Downey (Ally Downey).
