She was predeceased by: her parents, Giuseppe Treviso and Concetta Riccio; her husband Antonino "Nino" Cassaro; and her grandson John. She is survived by: her children, Charles (Tammy), Joseph (Donna), Anthony (Karen) and Vera (John); her grandchildren, Anthony, Nicholas (Boudina), Nicole (Matt), Michael, Amanda (Miguel), Joseph (Courtney), Christina and Daniella; her great grandchildren, Silvana, Charlotte, Luca, Zelda, Vincent, Thomas and Peter; and her siblings, Lina Garufi (Albany) and Antonino Treviso (Sicily). She is also survived by many Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the McVeigh Funeral Home (208 N Allen St, Albany, NY 12206). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Parish of Mater Christi (40 Hopewell St, Albany, NY 12208).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Silvana's name to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).
