He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Shamus and Margaret Shamus. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Mickelson Shamus; his sons, Arnold Shamus (Jane) of Loudonville and Marc Shamus (Silvia) of California; his sister-in-law Rosalind Menter of Schenectady; and his grandchildren, Aaron, Spencer, Kuki, Kali, Zivena, Kimiko, Zen and Zoe.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Levine Memorial Chapel (649 Washington Ave, Albany, NY 12206).
