She was predeceased by: her father Philip Murphy; her husband George Nixon; and her siblings, Adam, Michael Murphy, Mary O'Mahoney, Eileen Cremin and Elizabeth Ryan.
She is survived by: her mother Mary Murphy; her children, John Nixon (Brenda), Maureen Nixon, Nancy Winters (Duane), Noel Nixon (Carolee) and Eileen Walsh (Kyle); her grandchildren, Erin (Brandon), Brendan (Bessie), Aidan, Kerrigan, Scott (Kayla), Sean (Sarah), Evan, Garett, Liam, Caleigh and Nora (Kevin); her great grandchildren, Blake and Logan; and her siblings, Jerry Murphy and Helen Boyle. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc. (490 Delaware Ave, Albany, NY 12209). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 9:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Church (391 Delaware Ave, Albany, NY 12209). A burial was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at the St. Agnes Cemetery (48 Cemetery Ave, Menands, NY 12204).
