She was predeceased by: her great-grandparents, Lewis Leland Hall (Bessie) and T. H. Smith (Helen). She is survived by: her parents, Dr. Leonard A. Slade, Jr. and Roberta Hall Slade; her close friend Octavia Henderson; her pet Biscuit Beatrice; and her aunts and uncles, Kathryn Smith Stephens (Lexington), Virginia B. Smith (Lexington), Mary Elizabeth Settle (Maryland), William C. Slade, Robert Earl Slade, Milton V. Slade, Jeffrey Slade, Reginald Slade and Cornelious Flood.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Catholic Charities or to Blessed Sacrament School, 605 Central Avenue, Albany, New York 12206.
