He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolphus Brissett and Louise Brissett; and his siblings, Eglon Reid, Vincent Reid, Victor Brissett, Ransford Brissett, Canute Brissett and Lola Brissett James.
He is survived by: his wife Hortense Brissett; and his sisters-in-law, Irma Brown (Victor), Annette Samuels and Hilma Graham. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made in Melmouth's name to the Capital District Seventh Day Adventist Church Scholarship Fund.
