He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph A. Hughes, Sr. and Mary Brennan Hughes; his siblings, Joseph A. Hughes, Jr. and Suzanne H. Meher; and his nephew Shawn Meher.
He is survived by: his brother Daniel P. Hughes (Linda Joyce) of Venice, FL; his siblings-in-law, Daniel Meher of Albany and Ann Hughes (Anne McClelland) of Venice, FL; his nieces and nephews, Moira Mills (Sean), Patrick Hughes (Elisa), Brendan Hughes (Rebecca), Erin Davison and Megan Battibulli (Michael); and his extended family, Church and Pine Streets.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cannon Funeral Home (2020 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12205). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, September 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (10 Lodge St, Albany, NY 12207).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Lymphoma Research Foundation.
