He is survived by: his family, Taylor LaPlante, Ron Delease, Rick, Wayne Oliver, Alex Comins and Alicia Hughes; his wife Patricia Rose VanAlstyne (McMillen); his children, Crystal Martin (Jon) and Alan VanAlstyne (Josie); his grandchildren, Ava Martin, A. J. VanAlstyne, Jonathan Martin and Abby VanAlstyne; his mother Sandra VanAlstyne; his siblings, Dean VanAlstyne (Patty), Larry VanAlstyne (Gail), Richard VanAlstyne, Gene VanAlstyne, Peggy Lavazzo (John), Sandra McMillen (Kevin) and Rose VanAlstyne; and his in-laws, Barbara Loveday, Roger McMillen (Nancy), Gail VanAlstyne (Larry), Mark McMillen (Joelle) and Jim Shellenberger (Eileen).
