He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Berkun and Ruth Berkun. He is survived by: his wife Barbara (Schner); his brother Richard (Jo Ann); his children, Andrew Berkun (LiFang), Paula Binyamin and David Berkun (Debbie); his grandchildren, Samuel, Ruth, Sarah Berkun, Benjamin, Erez, Barak Binyamin and Hannah Berkun; his great grandchild Amelia Elinor Binyamin; and his nieces, Elaine, Lauren and Susan Berkun (Will Traves).

He was proud of his parent's contribution to the community philanthropically, and their participation in synagogue life.
