He is survived by: his wife Judy Gilligan; his children, Edward J. Gilligan, Suzanne Grassucci and Christine St. John; his grandchildren, Daniel Gilligan, Liam St. John and Keira St. John; and his siblings, Sister John Joseph, James Gilligan, Elizabeth Gilligan and Regina Gilligan Baptista. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception (125 Eagle St, Albany, NY 12202). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
