She is survived by: her parent Margaret Kruse Vater; her siblings, Margaret Vater Grant and Ernest Claus Vater; her husband John Paul Ward; her children, Warrensburg, Paul Newman and Charles Woods; her brother John Brandt (Marigo); her nieces, Glenda Brandt Brown Tivoli (Peter), Cindy Vater Koch and Susan; and her great-nieces, Melissa Brown of Port Ewen, NY and Hannah Brown Sayward.
