It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cantor Jodi Schechtman of Albany, New York, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on March 16, 2021, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband Gene Laks; her daughter Madison Laks; her siblings, Russell Schechtman (Alison Mickle) of Monroe, NY, Neal Schechtman (Jennifer Mazzola) of Emerson and Nancy Schechtman (late Brian Rubendall) of Oakton, Virginia.; and her nieces and nephews, Ethan, Zachary, Jake, Jonah, Jude, Ruth, Robyn and Jarah.
