He was predeceased by: his parents, Lavinina Dejarnette Turpin and Lavinnia Turpin; his daughter Alicia Allison; his adoptive parents, Eugene McCall Sr. and Estelle McCall; and also, Peaches and Eugene Jr. McCall.
He is survived by: his children, Booker Turpin Jr. (Teddy), Denise Vidal, Laura Turpin, Kyle Turpin, Patrick Robinson of Albany, NY, Michael Turpin (Tayna) of Maryland and Dean Holliday (Meshelle) of Atlanta Georgia; his niece Jacquie Van-Tull; and his siblings, Anna, Leroy McCall and Mary Crawford. He is also survived by grandchildren (29), great-grandchildren (23), and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wilborn Temple First Church (121 Jay St, Albany, NY 12210). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Graceland Cemetery (680 Delaware Ave, Albany, NY 12209).
