She was predeceased by: her parents, James McDermott and Margaret McDermott (Woods); her significant other Pablo Cruz; her sisters, Patricia Rios and Marlene McDermott; her nieces, Vanessa Ortiz and Lora Cafaro; and her close friend Linda Rivera.
She is survived by: her children, Gregory Medina, Sheri Medina and Sandra Tejada (Claudio); her grandchildren, Selena Medina Radley (Jared), Sabrina Medina, X'avier Tejada, Isayah Tejada and Yasmine Tejada; her great grandchild Katalina Medina; and her siblings, Margaret Rosenthal and Michael McDermott.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, January 7th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Rensselaer Ambulance Hall (901 3rd St, Rensselaer, NY 12144). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Meyers Funeral Home Ltd. (741 Delaware Ave, Delmar, NY 12054).
