He was predeceased by: his wife Thetis Jacqueline Kelley Cain; his son Jason Cain; his parents, Ira J. Cain, Sr. and Annie Mae Cain; and his brother Grady Cain.
He is survived by: his son Mark Cain (Alexis); his grandson Philip Cain; his sisters-in-law, Glenda Cain Chiarella (Sam) and Courtney Davis; and his nephew Trent Grimes. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great nieces.
