He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Tarbell and Agnes Tarbell (Lazore); his grandsons, Lucas Tarbell and Kyle Tarbell; and his siblings, Francis, Charles, George Tarbell and Mary Bruno.
He is survived by: his former wife Margaret Billings; his wife Caroline McDonald; his children, Carla Cree (Ralph) of Akwesasne, Roy Tarbell (Pam) of Akwesasne, Rodney Tarbell (Cindy) of Akwesasne and Paula Tarbell of Kentucky; his stepchildren, Stacy Skidders (Troy) and Robert Simmons (Clyda) of Akwesasne; his children, Robin Tarbell (Margaret) of Akwesasne, Mike Terrance of Rochester and Claudine Tarbell of Akwesasne; his godchildren, Ian Mitchell and Jean Square; his grandson Ryan McDonald; and his siblings, Nancy Markham (Charles) of Rochester and Michael Tarbell (Marilyn) of Akwesasne. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchild.
