She was predeceased by: her father Clarence Thompson; and her grandson Niklas. She is survived by: her mother Dolores Thompson (Jacobs) of Akwesasne; her children, Adam Thompson, Bobbi Thompson of Akwesasne, Kirsten Thompson of Akwesasne and Justin Durant; her grandchildren, Kahonwase Thompson, Rayia Johnson, Aidan, Colin, Kamden Durant and Ashton Arquette; her siblings, Jeannine Lazore (Steve) of Akwesasne, Cathy Mitchell (Roger) of Akwesasne, Darryl Thompson (Louise) of Akwesasne, Jonathan Thompson (Tracy) of Ottawa, ON and Shawn Thompson (Elaine) of Akwesasne; her goddaughter Julie Lightswamp; and her close friends, Sheila Ransom and Betty Roundpoint. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held privately. Please note that visitation will be occupancy controlled with those attending required to observe social distancing and wear face coverings.
