He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Swamp and Charlotte Swamp (Papineau); his children, Ranata (Swamp) and Windy Lazore; his grandchild Sage; his siblings, William Michael, Thelma Marie, Leonard (Marina), Jake (Judy), Ray (Mary) and Joe; and his brothers-in-law, Paul King, Joe Sharrow and Peter Lazore.
He is survived by: his wife Dyan Jayne Lazore; his children, Lawrence "Lornie" (Erin) of Akwesasne, Trina Swamp of Hampton Beach, VA, Lisa Elswick of Warren, Misty Lazore of Akwesasne and Kaientanoron (Johanna) of Akwesasne; his daughter-in-law Julie Light of Akwesasne; his grandchildren, Aizik, Avery, Otsistonkie, Dylan, Kania, Joely, Kella, Kaia and Parker; his great grandchildren, Zane and Priscilla; his grandchildren, Elijah, Shaylee, Dannalee, Kylee and Logan; his siblings, Herman Louis Swamp (Dianne), Cecelia King, Shirley Oakes, Janice Sharrow (Vince), Elizabeth Nanticoke (Kevin), Ronnie (Joanne), Roy Swamp (Peggy), Josie Swamp (Gabby) and Theresa Fox; and his brothers-in-law, Donald Lazore (Trudy) and Darcy Lazore (Angie). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Akwesasne Freedom School.
